Join our upcoming webinar on 18 and 20 December 2019 to find out what the 25th annual UN Climate Conference (COP25) means for business.

Government negotiators from around the world met in Madrid from 2 to 13 December at the 25th annual UN Climate Conference (COP25). They sought to enhance international collaboration to address climate change and to tighten up the small print of the landmark Paris Agreement.

But what actually happened at the conference? And why does it matter to business? Join our exclusive webinar, Debriefing on COP25: Lessons from leaders, on 18 and 20 December 2019 to find out.

In this webinar, Ramon Pueyo Viñuales, Partner, KPMG in Spain will summarize the key outcomes of COP25. Michael Hayes, Global Leader of Renewables, KPMG International will lead a panel discussion on how global climate policy affects the business community and how companies should respond.

The panel will feature Matthias Berninger, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Sustainability at Bayer, and Stefano de Clara, Director of International Policy at the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA).

As a former politician for the German Green party, Matthias Berninger is an expert on how corporates should engage in the international climate policy process. Now, as the leader of public and government affairs at Bayer, he is responsible for shaping Bayer’s response to the climate challenge. Before joining Bayer nearly one year ago, he held similar roles at Mars Incorporated.

Stefano de Clara of IETA leads the organization’s work to advance the objectives of the Paris Agreement, and to help implement effective market-based trading systems for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. He heads up IETA’s Business Partnership for Market Readiness (B-PMR), which aims to further the development of international GHG emissions trading models.
